Are you looking for new funding sources and partners to support your school district? Concerned about the future of school funding? K-12 education foundations are critical partners for school districts in these turbulent times.
The National School Foundation Association (NSFA), in partnership with the Hilliard Education Foundation (HEF), will present a one-day workshop for school district and foundation personnel in Ohio that you will not want to miss.
In this interactive session, you will learn about:
- Philanthropy trends in the U.S. today
- Characteristics of successful K-12 foundations
- Education foundation structures and performance in the U.S. today
- Opportunities and challenges for K-12 foundations
- Ways to avoid the seven most common errors of unsuccessful foundations
- Legal, operational and financial components for a successful foundation
- Why it’s okay for tax supported entities to seek public support
- Value and importance of having clear and compelling mission, vision, and value statements
- Ways to collaborate with other foundations in your area or state
This program consists of six hours of training, lunch, and a 120-page written manual with supporting documentation and samples. Workshop facilitators will use varied instructional methods.
